Adventure StoryWhen Louis Tapper rigs up his kitesurfer later this week in a bid to
be the first kite boarder to complete the Coastal Classic, he will be doing
so with a huge motivation. Not only will Louis be aiming to complete
this world first, which has involved ten months of training, but he
will also be raising funds for victims of the Samoan Tsunami. Samoa was
an essential training ground for Louis.
Louis is up against 30 ft plus yachts over 260km in this event and will finish in the dark. “It’s
a huge challenge, in fact my biggest challenge,” says the man who was
the first kite boarder to traverse the treacherous Cook Strait.
