Inspired by meso patient and activist Larry Davis and coordinated by his daughter and photojournalist Courtney Davis, this adventure ended in Washington D.C. with interviews and a photoshoot with Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation representative Danelle Mangone. This 7 day 320+ mile adventure was ridden on a customized single-speed, fixed-gear bike loaded with 50 lbs of camping gear and food. The fixed gearing prevented coasting of any kind. When the bike is in motion, the rider is in motion, much like running. Ground covered was between 40 and 60 miles a day, standing up.
